Mount Vernon School of Music is a community music school where beginners are celebrated and lifelong musicians are made.

Our story

We started with one piano in a church basement and a waiting list of neighborhood kids. Today our teachers work with hundreds of students each year across piano, voice, guitar, drums, and strings — plus after-school programs, summer camp, and community choirs.

Families stay with us for years because we treat music education as a relationship, not a transaction.
